Rain crept in quietly
\nA low rumble, a few spatters
\nHe’s only teasing, I thought
\nHe’ll pass on by.<\/p>\n
But then I saw the lowered light
\nFelt the hush expectant, each
\nBreath of air inviting, entreating
\nCome, oh come, yes, yes…<\/p>\n
Standing in the door I waited
\nWatching, hoping, dreaming
\nSuddenly on a great charging wind
\nHe was here<\/p>\n
Swirling, splashing, drenching,
\nThe trees danced with joy
\nThe whole back yard enthralled,
\nClouds of mist blew on me<\/p>\n
And I could stand it no longer
\nTearing off my clothes
\nI dashed out to join them
\nMy arms thrust high, embracing<\/p>\n
Feeling his kisses on my face,
\nHis soft caresses on my skin,
\nHis breath cold upon my shoulders,
\nHis throaty whispers in my ear,<\/p>\n
I swayed with the tossing flowers
\nOne in joy, with them, with life
\nO stay, I breathed, my Lover, stay
\nI want you here with me forever.<\/p>\n
