Mary Ann Douglass was my 3rd great grandmother. One of her Almira's daughters was Lydia Jane Colborn. I have she was born in 1851 in Canada and died in Muscogee in 1936. Just wanted to let you know I am also in Oklahoma if you don't have these details let me know. I read your website with great interest and may emil again later after I absorb the data.

[...] Similarly the obituary for Robert L. Bacon from Tacoma, Washington, was not very enlightening either. It did give the names of his children, but not the names of his parents or of the wife he divorced, so I am still not absolutely sure he is the grandson of Nancy Cramer Bacon. The strongest clue might be that he named one son Ralph, which was Nancy’s son’s name. (Sept. 2006 issue) [...]

Hi Donna,
Sorry to be so late in replying. Have been on a trip to Florida and tried to find an obituary for James R. Smith, husband of Catherine at the local library in Port Charlotte but there appears there was no obituary here in Florida. Am going to try for a death certificate on my way home, from Jacksonville Health Dept. More later. Ethel

Byron McKeeby was a task master and great teacher. I was his student for multiple quarters in the old print building in the mid 70's with he and his opposite but also good teacher Bill Loy. I cherish those days due to his encouragement, toughness, and dry, midwestern humor. He was appalled and became enlighted when I used a small amount of ignited gasolene to etch my grease for effect on my stone. It turned out great!
Thank you for your article.

Thank you so much for the information you have given.

Information you may want to know about about Earl and Carrie Ridgeway's
children:
Earl Douglas Ridgeway's Daughter Hazel Ridgeway Getman, had 2 daughters. Erma GetmanTeelin and Vera Getman Mowers: I am the daughter of Vera. Vera died in Oct of 2006. Erma died 2008. Vera's children are: twins Daryl and me (Donna) and an older (3 years difference) brother Dennis .
My Aunt Erma has 4 children, they all live in Wisconsin, Terry, Lynda,Timothy and Tarcey.

I know you emailed me a month a two ago asking for information about Catherine Ridgeway Smith, hope you were able to get in touch with her. Her father is the one that had information on Issac Ridgeway. Apparently he thought that Issac was married to an American Indian.
I'm still trying to find out more about Issac.

Again thank you so much for all the informtion!!

Mankato, that's very interesting. Agnes Douglass lived in Mankato, MN for a while - the only person on my family tree that lived there that I know of.

Ethel, i have old letters written by possible family members that were in my A. Edith's research. I will have to look them up again for the names. There were no Douglass but there had to be a connection somewhere which i have not found yet. I will try to give you access to these letters as i find them.
